A content-access layer connected to Shopify.
CourseKeep lets merchants create, publish, sell, and deliver courses and digital files; organize membership catalogs; issue and redeem credits; and provide eligible customers with a My Library experience. Shopify remains responsible for its platform, checkout, order, customer-account, and subscription capabilities.
02 / Courses and digital files
The merchant owns and is responsible for its offering.
The merchant represents that it has all rights, permissions, licenses, and required notices for content uploaded to or delivered through CourseKeep, including videos, audio, images, text, PDFs, archives, software, plans, and 3D-print files. The merchant is responsible for product descriptions, support, accessibility, safety instructions, export restrictions, intellectual-property compliance, and any consumer disclosures.
Kenney Labs may suspend or remove content reasonably believed to be unlawful, malicious, infringing, abusive, unsafe for the service, or likely to compromise other tenants.
03 / Memberships and credits
Merchant policies must be clear to customers.
The merchant chooses membership catalogs, billing intervals, grace periods, credit amounts, caps, rollover, expiration, and post-cancellation behavior. The merchant must clearly disclose those rules before purchase and must not configure conflicting promises across Shopify product copy and CourseKeep settings.
Membership access depends on timely Shopify subscription-contract and billing-attempt information. Credits and access are projected from durable events, but a delayed or corrected platform event may require a later entitlement correction.
04 / Orders, refunds, and taxes
The merchant remains merchant of record.
The merchant controls pricing, checkout, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and customer support through Shopify and its chosen payment services. CourseKeep applies the merchant's configured cancellation and refund access policy; when a case is ambiguous, access may remain pending merchant review. Kenney Labs does not promise that revoking access resolves a refund, chargeback, or licensing dispute.
05 / Protected delivery
Access controls reduce casual sharing; they are not digital-rights guarantees.
CourseKeep keeps originals private and can use expiring signed links, download counters, versioned releases, and entitlement checks. These measures are access controls, not complete DRM. CourseKeep cannot guarantee that an authorized recipient will not copy, capture, modify, redistribute, or misuse content after receiving it.
The merchant must protect its Shopify and CourseKeep administrator access, avoid publishing private storage paths or signed links, and promptly report suspected compromise.
06 / Fees and plan limits
Published pricing governs the paid service.
Plan pricing, trials, storage, transfer, processing, and usage limits will be shown in the Shopify App Store listing or in-app approval screen before charges begin. Shopify app charges are billed through Shopify. Unless law requires otherwise, fees already incurred are non-refundable. Kenney Labs may change future pricing or limits with notice; a merchant may decline by ending paid use before the change takes effect.
07 / Availability and liability
Use reasonable safeguards and keep source copies.
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. The merchant must retain source copies of uploaded content and should test important customer flows. Scheduled maintenance, Shopify changes, provider failures, internet conditions, and events outside reasonable control may interrupt service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kenney Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Aggregate liability arising from CourseKeep will not exceed the fees the merchant paid for CourseKeep during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
