01 / For Shopify merchants
Choose the deletion path that matches your request.
A store owner or authorized staff member can remove one connected social account, remove the app and its store data, or ask Kenney Labs to handle a specific privacy request. Use the Shopify store owner or staff account authorized to manage Seen In Use whenever possible.
03 / Uninstall Seen In Use
Remove the app and its store data.
- Open Settings in Shopify admin.
- Open Apps and sales channels.
- Select Seen In Use, choose Uninstall, and confirm.
Uninstalling disables access and starts the Seen In Use tenant-deletion workflow for the store, including connected social-feed data, app media, and attribution data. Seen In Use also responds to Shopify's mandatory shop-erasure workflow.
04 / Contact Kenney Labs
Request help or earlier deletion by email.
Email hello@kenneylabs.com with the subject “Seen In Use data deletion request.” Include:
- your Shopify store's
.myshopify.comdomain; - whether you want the entire store's Seen In Use data deleted or only a named social-provider connection; and
- an email address where we can respond.
Do not email passwords, access tokens, or other social-account credentials. We may ask you to verify that you are authorized to act for the store before completing the request.
05 / For shoppers
Contact the Shopify merchant you visited.
If you are a shopper requesting access to or deletion of personal data associated with a Shopify store, contact that store directly. The merchant can initiate the applicable Shopify privacy request. Seen In Use processes Shopify's mandatory customer data-request and customer-erasure workflows when they apply.
Seen In Use does not retain customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, IP addresses, or user agents for paid-order attribution. See the privacy notice for the bounded data that may be processed.
06 / What deletion covers
Seen In Use removes app-controlled data.
Depending on the request, deletion includes the applicable:
- encrypted provider access or refresh credentials and granted-permission records;
- connected account or Page identity and synchronization health;
- synchronized post identifiers, links, captions, dates, and media metadata;
- first-party preview images, feed manifests, and publication records;
- merchant-uploaded app media, gallery assignments, and store configuration; and
- consent-qualified analytics and paid-order attribution records controlled by Seen In Use.
07 / Original provider content
Deleting from Seen In Use does not delete from Meta or TikTok.
Seen In Use can remove its copy, cached preview, connection, and publication records. It cannot delete an original Instagram post, Facebook post or Page, TikTok video, social account, or provider-side activity that the provider controls. Use the relevant provider's account controls to delete original content or the provider account.
08 / Timing and confirmation
Feeds are hidden before cleanup completes.
A provider disconnect hides its Seen In Use feed immediately and begins recoverable cleanup. Uninstall and privacy-erasure workflows disable access and begin tenant cleanup. We will respond to direct email requests and complete verified requests within the period required by applicable law and platform requirements.
A Pro downgrade is not itself a deletion request. Automatic feeds are hidden, but encrypted connections can be retained for up to 30 days solely to allow restoration after an upgrade. Disconnect the provider, uninstall Seen In Use, or email us if you want deletion before that period ends.
02 / Disconnect a social account
Remove one provider from Seen In Use.
Disconnecting immediately hides the feed and starts revocation and deletion of that provider connection, including its credentials, synchronized posts, preview images, and publication records. It does not disconnect your other providers or delete the original content from the social provider.
